Independence Day is one of the easiest holidays to dress for in the sense that your dress code is self-evident: red, white, and blue. But dressing in these colors without looking like Uncle Sam is where it gets tricky.
On this joyous day, I went with a more classic, subtle channeling of my patriotic spirit through the classic navy blazer/khaki pants combo. The only red in the outfit is in the slim bow tie, belt and pocket square, keeping the look easy on the eyes. Putting bright colors in accessories while keeping main pieces (like a blazer and pants) neutral ensures the look is subtle and coordinated.
